Panthu Sandar Fine Art Centre and
Child Art Training School

Panthu Sandar Fine Art Centre and Child Art Training School is the new name and expanded organization that has grown from the Panthu Sandar Child Art Centre, which was set up in 1978 by renowned 2nd generation modern Myanmar artist U Aung Khin and his artist daughter Daw Cho Cho Aung.

Panthu Sandar Fine Art Centre and Child Art Training School is driven by a group of independent Myanmar artists. Its objective is to work with art activists primarily from Southeast Asia to encourage and support regional artistic collaboration as well as to develop CHILD ART SKILLS in the area of creative arts. Panthu Sandar Fine art centre is motivated by the philosophy of meaningful collaboration, distinguished by Asian artists in particular, The art centre is interested in CHILD ART PAINTING that is developing in Myanmar and Asian countries.

* Panthu Sandar Fine Art Center's objectives are to develop Intercultural and cross national collaborations and exchanges that can take the form of dialogues, workshops and seminars. (For child art, Fine art and Traditional art).

*Artistic networks that will create links between South-East Asia and South and East Asia by way of exchange and information-sharing.

*Panthu Sandar Fine Art Centre hopes to be able to continue its work into the future through a process of regeneration and continuity. It is also hoped that Panthu Sandar Fine Art Centre will motivate more regional and international funding to ensure the continuity of regional cultural dialogue and Child art.

The Panthu Sandar Child Art programme objectives are:
1) Children art training systems to be verified and recorded systematically with necessary papers to be used in workshops.
2) Children art training systems to be printed in book forms.
3) A vigorous training courses to be made for art teachers, because there is an obvious shortage for training who are really fit for the children in their care.
4) The weak aspects of child development to be pointed out by our work.
5) To promote the aesthetic attitudes and creative attitudes of local children until they are prepared to enter international standards.
6) Children are to become computer literate, and learn basic digital art.
7) To produce a printed calendar with the children’s works and shows in Mandalay and Rangoon.
8) To provide a safe and hygienic place for children to practice their skills
9) Permanent Exhibition hall had to be arranged
10) To stimulate children’s interest in learning is essential
11) Physical as well as psychological development children will be emphasized.
